This Firebird cruises along nice and cool and is riding on a brand new set of 225/60/15 BFG Radial TA tires that are wrapped around a very nice set of original Rally II wheels. Electronic ignition and brand new battery. Braking was also nicely upgraded with a Power front disc brake kit. Handling is a breeze thanks to the Power steering and newer front and rear suspension components. The Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission shifts strong and crisply and was also rebuilt back in 2005. Engine bay was nicely detailed years ago and still shows quite nicely. It is also breathing out a very nice set of Hedman headers that rumble out of the dual exhaust very nicely. It is not the original matching number motor but I do have a receipt from 2005 showing it was completely rebuilt and after driving it home 40 minutes and also driving it all day today I can testify that this car runs sweet and strong at all speeds! Originally a 2bbl this 350 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Pontiac Performer 4bbl intake and carburetor. This beautiful Firebird Convertible is powered by a completely rebuilt, very strong, correct YN coded 350/265 horsepower V8. Nice wood grain aftermarket steering wheel was added with Pontiac logo and looks great. All of the wiring from the engine harness back to the rear wire harness was redone so lights and blinkers all function correctly. Gauges are very clear and function correctly. Dash pad looks excellent as do the door panels and carpeting. A very nice AM/FM/CD player has been placed in the dash neatly and speakers were neatly mounted in the front kick panels and in the original grille area of the front dash. The original center console is in great condition but is missing the plastic cover over the shifter lever that can be purchased inexpensively. Special thanks to whoever decided to accent the beautiful Palladium Silver finish with the black top and interior. According to the PHS documents the interior was originally green and the car even had a green convertible top. The black interior is in fantastic condition with no rips or tears and really barely any sign of wear. Lets drop the top again and slide inside this sweet bird. Here is a walk around tour of the body and I have included a video tour at the end of the description as well. This Firebird will get thumbs up and comments everywhere you go and is ready for the local shows and I would expect it to win its share of trophies if that is your goal. I did notice a couple of very tiny bubbles in the trim around the front nose and a few tiny chips that had been touched up. Overall the body is truly in fantastic condition but is not flawless. All of the chrome looks excellent!! A rear spoiler was added and the 400 style hood was added which really give the car the sporty, muscle car stance it deserves. This Firebird still wears the chrome trim that was included in the Decor Group package it was ordered with which includes chrome trim around wheel wells and along the rocker panels. This car was originally limelight green but now has a true muscle car look in its new Silver color. The body is extremely straight and wears a beautiful, high quality, Palladium Silver finish. A professional cosmetic restoration was done approximately 10 years ago on the body. Extremely solid body that appears to have its original body panels, with the exception of the 400 style hood that was added, with excellent panel gaps. This ’69 Firebird Convertible has a great stance and shows off its curvy, sexy body lines just as you would want it to. If you have been looking for an investment quality classic convertible that is ready to be driven and enjoyed and can also win its share of trophies at the local shows then this is the one for you!! I will do my best to provide enough pictures and videos and an honest description to help you decide if this is the classic for you! Sit back and enjoy! It is quite obvious that this bird was not driven during the winter months up north and prior to that spent its life in the dry Georgia Climate where it currently resides. His expanding business was occupying most of his time and he was not getting the opportunity to enjoy the car as much as he thought he would so he decided to pass it along to the next lucky owner…maybe you!! Prior to him the car spent about 5 years in New York where it received a professional restoration approximately 10 years ago. We acquired this classic from a gentleman here in the Atlanta area who owned it since 2006 and only put a few thousand miles on it in the 6 years he had it. This 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible was originally sold at Taber Pontiac in Atlanta, GA as shown in the PHS ( Pontiac Historical Services) documentation that will be included in the sale of the car.
